Disclaimer
Please remember that the Moderation team will enforce the rules at their own discretion.
All the Staff Members are people and as such we all have our interpretations of the rules here at The Sonic Factory. Of course that doesn't mean staff and admins shouldn't try to stay on the same page and avoid inconsistency, but it does mean that any one of our staff members could have different ideas of what is within the boundaries of the rules then any regular board member. Of course, this also means that because the staff member does not enforce a rule as strictly or as as you would like doesn't mean that they aren't doing there job. If However, you feel a Staff Member keeps dropping the ball, please PM a Admin and be prepared to give examples as to how the mod has been napping, power abusing or anything else you feel needs to be discussed.
We take the guidelines at here very seriously to ensure a pleasant and ordered environment for lively discussion. We hold the community as a whole above everything else and as such we encourage all members to take an active part in maintaining the rules by reporting any offending posts they see. We also believe because of this that you, as a member have a right to know how these are likely to be enforced and have the chance to understand what our Staff and admins do.
If you feel that a Moderation team has deleted your post unfairly, you may send a PM to the staff or admin questioning there actions in a snide-free manner (and the staff/admin should [and will] respond with an explanation). Sending the mod a nasty reply, or immediately running to the board to post a complaint, will do nothing but stir things up and make the staff and admins, who might have been sympathetic towards you, angry. If you feel very strongly that a mod was being abusive, again, PM one of the admins, and the problem will be looked into.
If you feel, in general, like certain rules aren't being enforced (or are being enforced too strictly) and you wonder why, you may ask PM a member of the staff, and it can be discussed/debated. You may not, however, use this forum to point a finger at individuals of the Moderation Team. Such an action will not be tolerated, and you would be likely to suffer consequences as a result of this.
Also, it should be understood that issues will arise on the board that aren't covered by the rules. This won't happen very often, but if said issue appears to disrupt the normal flow of the board, staff and administrators may act. If in the unlikely event of staff are making a poor judgement to any such issues, then direct your enquiries to the admins and the matter will be looked into immediately. Please, with all due respect, be courteous with the members and avoid breaking the rules. It is to your benefit as well as ours to insure you a safe and fun environment in the forums. If you have any questions regarding the rules, please PM the staff or admins.
